OVERBLIK: IPBES-kalenderen i første halvdel af 2017

6 March 2017: IPBES Stakeholder Day ahead of IPBES 5th plenar assembly in Bonn

7- 10 March 2017: IPBES 5th plenar assembly, Bonn (http://www.ipbes.net/plenary/ipbes-5)

1 May – 26 June 2017: Review process for the IPBES land degradation and restoration assessment. Details will be announced at www.ipbes.dk.

1 May – 26 June 2017: Review process for the IPBES regional assessmentts for Europe and Central Asia, Asia Pacific, and Africa. Details will be announced at www.ipbes.dk.

29 May – 24 July 2017: Review process for the IPBES regional assessmentts for the Americas. Details will be announced at www.ipbes.dk.

12 – 14 June 2017: The 4th Pan-European IPBES-Stakeholder Consultation (PESC-4), Vácrátót, Hungary.

The main objectives of PESC-4 are:

  • To promote stakeholders’ engagement in IPBES work by providing inputs to the IPBES deliverables (e.g. the draft of the regional assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem services for Europe and Central Asia)
  • To strengthen collaboration on biodiversity research at the pan-European level, including Central Asia
  • To contribute to the preparation of IPBES deliverables.

20 – 21 July 2017: 2-day regional dialogue meeting for the region Europe and Central Asia between national focal points and/or their representatives, and representatives from the assessment author teams (co-chairs and coordinating lead authors)
(The dates of the dialogue meetings for the other regions are the following: August 3-4 for Africa and for Americas, and July 20-21 for Asia Pacific.).
